Wuhan

武汉

Wuhan Yangtze Big Bridge, built 1957, 110m-long (360ft), 80m-high (262ft), until its construction all traffic had to be ferried across the Yangtze, essentially dividing the country into two zones of transportation.  It is one of Communist China's first great engineering achievements. (By the way, I got all of this information from the Lonely Planet China guide book.)

    The Yellow Crane Tower

Jianhan Street, downtown pedestrian shopping zone.

Jiqing Street, late night eateries where musicians, comedians, and just about every kind of entertainer circulate among the tables to entertain you while you eat.

East Lake, on a less than perfectly sunny day.

Gui Yuan Temple, fog and incense mingle to shroud the Guanyin Buddha.
